The promises, sorted by area
The sales video for The Genius Switch makes a long list of claims. Grouping them shows how far they reach beyond anything an audio track could reasonably be tested for.
| Area | What the seller says | A realistic reading |
|---|---|---|
| Thinking | Insights and “eureka” moments, faster learning, better memory | Some small binaural-beat studies report brief changes in attention or mood. Nothing has been measured for this track |
| Luck | Synchronicities and a casino win | The presenter himself says there is no evidence the track caused the win |
| Work and money | Promotions and more money | Too many outside factors to credit a sound file; no data offered |
| Relationships | Better relationships | Anecdote only |
| Body | Weight loss (a 17 lb story), quitting smoking, headaches and joint pain easing | Health outcomes that need a doctor; the site says it does not treat any disease |
| Children | Better school grades | Anecdote only; school results depend on many things |
| Timing | Works from the first listen; a difference in two to three days; results within a couple of weeks | The seller’s own timeline, with no measurements shown |
None of the people in these stories can be checked. The Terms say testimonials may be acted out by avatars or actors and represent exceptional results that may not reflect a typical customer.
What the cited research is about
Binaural beats are an effect heard through headphones when each ear gets a slightly different tone. Researchers have tested whether certain beat frequencies, often 40 Hz, can nudge attention or mood. The sales page lists some of this work, including a 2020 study by Ross and Lopez on 40 Hz binaural beats and the attentional blink, a lab measure of how quickly attention recovers after spotting one target in a fast stream.
| What a binaural-beat study can show | What it cannot show about this product |
|---|---|
| Whether a specific sound changed a lab score in a small group | Whether The Genius Switch track has the same effect |
| A short-term effect measured soon after listening | Lasting change in memory or learning |
| Results for attention or mood tasks | Luck, money, weight, smoking or pain outcomes |
| Findings that other teams may or may not repeat | Proof for any single buyer |
Reviews of this field pull in two directions. A 2019 meta-analysis by Garcia-Argibay and colleagues found a medium, fairly consistent overall effect across cognition, anxiety and pain, while a 2023 review by Ingendoh and colleagues found that most of 14 studies did not show brainwave entrainment. The sounds and listening times also differ from one study to the next. That is a fair place to start from: there is something to study, and nothing yet that supports the size of the claims in the video.
A contradiction in the sales pitch
In the video, the presenter insists his approach has “nothing to do with brain waves”, and he dismisses ordinary sound waves as “incomplete”. The sales page, though, supports the product with references on 40 Hz binaural beats and gamma stimulation, which are studies about sound and brain rhythms.
Read neutrally, there are two possibilities. If the track uses binaural beats, the relevant evidence is the mixed binaural literature. If it does not, the references on the page are not about this product at all. Either way, there is no direct evidence for the track.
Whole brain activation and the Nobel Prize
At the centre of the pitch sits “whole brain activation”: the idea that the left and right hemispheres can be brought into step. That phrase is the seller’s, not a medical term. The video also brings up Roger Sperry’s Nobel Prize; Sperry won it in 1981 for split-brain research, which says nothing about this track.
Neural sync in 8 minutes
Two more phrases carry the pitch: “neural sync technology”, and the idea that a full hour of it has been squeezed into an 8-minute track. No measurement, protocol or study is offered for either statement.
What the track cannot do
- It cannot treat a condition. The site’s disclaimer calls the product “not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease”. Memory loss, attention problems, low mood, chronic pain and addiction all deserve a proper medical assessment.
- It cannot replace sleep, exercise or medicine. Do not stop or change any treatment because of an audio track.
- It cannot be shown to raise intelligence or grades. No study of the track exists, and the binaural studies did not test those outcomes.
- It cannot change luck or income. The presenter’s own remark about the casino story makes that point.
- It cannot be judged from the testimonials. The Terms allow them to be acted, and they are described as exceptional.
The seller’s own Terms frame the products as entertainment, which is the most accurate description on the whole site. Our safety page quotes that section in full.
A fair way to test it yourself
If you decide to try it, a simple plan beats a vague impression. This is our suggestion, not the seller’s.
| When | What to do |
|---|---|
| Before the first listen | Pick one thing you can measure, such as minutes of focused reading or a nightly sleep note, and record it for a few days |
| Days 1 to 14 | Listen once a day at a comfortable volume, seated or lying down, and keep the same record |
| Around day 14 | Compare with your starting notes; this matches the seller’s own “couple weeks” timeline |
| By about day 80 | Decide whether it earns its place, leaving time before the 90-day refund window closes |
If your record shows no change by the two-week mark, that is useful information too, and the refund exists for exactly that case. Remember that feeling calmer after 8 minutes with your eyes closed is a normal effect of resting, so it does not by itself show the track is special.

Common questions
Which Genius Switch benefit claims touch on health problems?
The video tells stories of weight loss, including a 17 lb anecdote, of quitting smoking and of headaches and joint pain easing. These are anecdotes from marketing the Terms say may be acted, not results from a trial. The site itself says the product is not intended to treat any disease, so anyone with these problems should see a doctor.
Does the 40 Hz research cited by the seller test The Genius Switch?
No. The sales page lists research on 40 Hz binaural beats and gamma stimulation, for example a 2020 attentional blink study by Ross and Lopez. Those studies used their own sounds, not this track. They report small, short-term effects on attention in a lab task, which is a long way from the outcomes the video promises.
How soon does the seller say Genius Switch benefits appear?
The video gives three timelines: that it starts working the very first time you listen, that many customers notice a difference within two to three days, and that most people see results within a couple of weeks. None of these comes with data. If you test it, note what you want to change before day one and judge it well inside 90 days.
Can The Genius Switch improve luck or income?
There is no evidence that it can, and the presenter says as much about his own casino story: "there is of course no evidence to support that the genius switch caused that". Promotions, money and lucky breaks depend on far too many things for an audio track to be credited with them.
